MV PEnthouse

MV Penthouse is the transformation of a 1938 family house in Gries, Bolzano, into a multi-generational residence crowned by a new penthouse overlooking the Dolomites. Rooted in its historical context, the project unfolds as a green sanctuary infused with Japanese calm and Mediterranean warmth. Architecture and interior design interweave past and present, emphasizing natural light, continuity with nature, and the tactile richness of materials such as clay, lime, wood, and stone.

Custom-made furniture—some crafted from construction remnants—extends the sustainable ethos, while renewable energies and adaptable spatial solutions foster a flexible, resilient home. Movable wooden partitions and sliding doors allow seamless transitions between privacy and shared family life.

Beyond function, the MV Penthouse embodies tranquil architecture: silent, harmonious, and attuned to well-being. A sensory experience of textures, scents, and natural tones blurs the boundary between indoors and outdoors, creating a unified living environment that becomes an authentic extension of its inhabitants.
